Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 24, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Kjek ("Kjek," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on kjek.com (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
3. How We Use Cookies
Kjek uses cookies primarily to operate the Service securely and to maintain your authenticated session. We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
4. Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable login, session management, security, and load balancing. These cookies are required for the Service to function. | Session or up to 30 days |
| Authentication (Auth0) | Set by Auth0 and our application to authenticate you, maintain your session, and protect against CSRF and unauthorized access. | Session or as configured by Auth0 |
| Functional | Remember choices and preferences that improve your experience, if applicable. | Up to 12 months |
Cookie names and exact durations may vary based on your browser, authentication flow, and updates to our infrastructure. Essential cookies cannot be disabled through our site without breaking core functionality.
5. Third-Party Cookies
When you log in, Auth0 may set cookies on our domain or related domains to complete authentication. Third-party AI and infrastructure providers used to process your requests generally do not set marketing cookies through our web interface, but their services may receive technical identifiers (such as IP address) as part of API requests.
We do not control cookies set by third parties outside the Service. Please refer to the relevant provider's documentation for more information.
6. Your Choices
Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or using the Service.
Log out. Logging out ends your authenticated session and clears session-related cookies associated with your visit.
Do Not Track. The Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a standardized way because there is no common industry standard for compliance.
7. Legal Basis (EEA/UK)
Where required by law, we use strictly necessary cookies based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning Service, or to perform our contract with you. For any non-essential cookies we may introduce in the future, we will request consent where required before placing them.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
